Confirmation

The parish currently runs a confirmation programme for teenagers with a strong team of volunteers. The confirmation programme is run in conjunction with the neighbouring parishes of Sacred Heart and St Alban’s, together with

St Gregory's High School and their Chaplain, Sister Margaret.

‘Animate’ our Archdiocesan youth ministry team, also run a day as part of the programme, further details of Animate can be obtained from Fr. Stephen Pritchard - see below.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the second of the three sacraments of initiation because, historically, it was administered immediately after the Sacrament of Baptism. Confirmation perfects our baptism and brings us the graces of the Holy Spirit that were granted to the Apostles on Pentecost Sunday.
