St Josephs Parish is situated midway between Manchester and Liverpool, with the two nearest town being Warrington and Widnes. 

The Parish has excellent access to the motorways links being at the hub of the network for the M6/M62/M56/M57. Manchester and Liverpool are easily accessed by road or rail.  Plus Manchester and Liverpool Airports are very close by.  

There are excellent shopping facilities within a short distance from the church, plus a good library and local health centre.

Penketh and Great Sankey has seen a influx of new developments in the area with plenty of new housing and commercial property, The largest being the building of the New Chapelford  urban village, and the granting of permission for the building of the New Omega Business Centre.
